Bradford House Prices Still Soaring!

Yorkshire city sees biggest annual price rise in the region – but first-time buyers face paying HUGE sums

Good news for Bradford homeowners – property prices in your area are booming! The average house price in Bradford hit £181,016 in June. That’s according to the latest official figures from the Land Registry.

This jump in prices means that if you sold your home in Bradford in June, you would have got 2.1% more than your neighbour who sold in May!

Bradford has seen the biggest annual price rise in Yorkshire and the Humber, with the average sale price up a cool £13,000 compared to June 2022.

But what about the rest of the UK? Well, prices are still rising across the country, although not as fast as in Bradford. The average UK house price went up by 0.5% between May and June. Across Yorkshire and the Humber as a whole, prices increased by 2.7%.

But it’s not such good news for those looking to get on the property ladder. First-time buyers in Bradford paid out an average of £162,000 for their first home in June. That’s £11,000 more than they would have paid a year ago. And if you compare it to pre-pandemic prices, first-time buyers are now having to fork out an extra £40,000!
