Swipe Right on Your Dream Home – Google-Backed AI App Hits London

A new player has entered the London property scene, promising to shake things up with the power of artificial intelligence. Jitty, an AI-powered property search app, has officially launched in the heart of the UK, bringing an innovative approach to finding the perfect home.

Developed by a trio of visionaries formerly associated with Deliveroo in its early days, Jitty introduces the concept of “roomscrolling” to the property market. This isn’t just another app cluttering your smartphone; it’s a tool designed to transform how you discover and engage with potential homes.

Fresh off its successful debut in the South West of England, Jitty is now setting its sights on central London, covering sought-after boroughs such as Hackney, Camden, Islington, Westminster, Kensington, and Chelsea. This expansion places a plethora of homes at your fingertips, ready to be explored, loved, and possibly lived in.

More Than Just Listings

Jitty goes beyond the basics. It offers a platform where property enthusiasts can team up with friends and family, exchanging opinions, compiling favorites, and reacting to listings with the simple joy of emojis. Imagine being able to gauge the vibe of a home through a flurry of smiley faces or heart eyes from your closest confidantes.

But Jitty’s ambitions stretch further. It aims to empower users with knowledge, offering insights like the average price per square meter in an area. This data isn’t just numbers; it’s a guide to making informed offers or curating your ultimate wishlist, ensuring you’re a step ahead in the property game.

A Friend to Estate Agents and House Hunters Alike

One of Jitty’s standout features is its commitment to keeping the platform free for estate agents to list properties and engage with potential buyers. This approach fosters a comprehensive and accessible marketplace for everyone involved.

Behind the scenes, Jitty is powered by cutting-edge technology, courtesy of Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund. Leveraging large-language models and computer vision, Jitty reads floor plans and understands photos and descriptions at an unprecedented level. This ability allows the app to cross-reference information from a variety of sources, delivering unparalleled detail and insight into each listing.

London Calls, Jitty Answers

Graham Paterson, the chief executive and co-founder of Jitty, expressed the team’s excitement about launching in London: “London is the heart of the UK property market, and since launching Jitty we’ve been inundated with requests to launch in the capital. We wanted to take the extra time to build the app that London really needs. That includes, for example, letting people choose which floor they want to live on, and telling users how long is left on the lease, and the ground rent and service charges. We’ve asked a lot of Londoners about the property app they want to see, so it’s an honour to be able to bring it to them. We’re launching in central London and we’ll be rapidly expanding throughout the city. Members of our team have all lived in London at various times, and it’s where the co-founders worked together, so it has a special place in our hearts.”
